rhyme
A long time ago I found a homepage,
A place where I could put myself on a stage,
It came with a megabyte limit,
So I had to skim it,
And I fell into a rage!
Entry into the rhyme section permitted! Come on now, you're acquitted! Let's go, show the show, walk to and fro! Welcome to the rhyme section. This is where I have poems that have a rhyme scheme within them, like Dr. Seuss's Hop on Pop. So here we go!
Staring at the Heavens
A peaceful, serene scene
with no sun to be seen.
Stars, all there, littering the sky,
forcing themselves like white paint, dots of symmetry.
There, they laid and watched with interest,
cuddled and snuggled and just wanted to rest.
Stars lighting their faces, tracing
all the smiles and kisses they were placing.
Joyous this, staring at the heavens, here
nothing to worry about, nothing to fear.
Everything giving way to patterns of love,
showing the intricate relationship they wove.
O! Stars of brightness seen so visibly
Memories of times are shown so wistfully
A sigh, a coo, a shared embrace
A night to remember, a night in this place.
The Flavor of Labor
Where forth comes this flavor
Where forth comes this labor
Ever so, so seeking, seeking
Ever so, so peeking, peeking
This labor that is so?
Work not hard, to and fro;
Take in the flavor, I say
Take in that flavor, day after day
For the flavor of labor is not that easy
No no, it is not easy, makes you not queasy
That flavor is a tasty one, where you can
easily get into it, working just like man
Oh, that flavor of labor! That flavor upon flavors!
Take me back and make me work, with the flavor of labor!
More poetry to be created and uploaded soon!
